Marinakis: No Changes Expected in Agreed Terms on Sinai Monastery

Minister of Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis described the UniCredit-Alpha Bank agreement as a "vote of confidence" in the Greek economy and banking system, following a meeting with Bank of Greece Governor Yannis Stournaras.

Pierrakakis reaffirmed the government's support for the Greek banking sector, highlighting not only the stability achieved through the significant efforts of Stournaras but also the strong prospects ahead.

Stournaras echoed these sentiments, pointing to positive developments in the Greek economy. “ UniCredit’s increased participation in Alpha Bank attests to this success. It is not only a success for Alpha Bank but for the Greek economy and banking system as a whole,” he noted.
